About Me

I have just completed an MA in Magazine Journalism at City, University of London. I enjoy writing about fashion, lifestyle and wellness. Recently I completed a Fashion internship with Grazia UK. I am also a qualified Copywriter.

During my masters I became proficient with Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Audition. I also completed modules in news and features writing, magazine production, podcasting, magazine business and a lifestyle specialism.

I was elected the Deputy Social Media Editor of my cohort's digital platform, PRUDE. A gender-inclusive magazine aimed at Gen Z's.

Jack Fowler: "It’s a mad time and nobody can prepare you for it"

A cold Tuesday afternoon inside a packed Shoreditch House, Jack Fowler strolls in, owning the room as casual as you like. A Mexican wave of heads turns as he walks by – something I imagine is a daily occurrence for him.

You may recognise Fowler from Love Island, or from modelling for I Saw It First, or in the UK charts with his latest hit Foolish with Tom Zanetti, or from the edge of the 18-yard box during his semi-professional football career. There’s an elite cohort of ex-Islanders who have e

‘Being non-binary is brilliant. No-one is saying that enough’ – navigating sexuality with Ben Pechey

Ben Pechey is the ray of sunshine everyone needs in their lives. A freelance writer, fashion critic and LGBTQIA+ activist, they’re paving the way to a more positive world for non-binary folk to live in. PRUDE caught up with Ben in the lead up to their book release ‘The Book of Non-Binary Joy’ on 19 May. Wearing a striped top layered with denim dungarees – a distinctive look perfected and woven through their Instagram feed – and their signature red lipstick, Ben stopped by for a chat about naviga

Alex Hassell: "I'm really grateful for Cowboy Bebop"

Alex Hassell stars in Joel Coen’s rapturously received cinematic adaptation of Macbeth – but the actor’s initial foray into Shakespeare was even more remarkable.

The young Hassell used to stage guerilla productions of Hamlet that lent heavily on improvisation and audience engagement. “We did a version of it in a music festival that ended at like, four in the morning,” recalls Hassell. “The audience must have been on drugs.”

“People would be snogging in the audience as part of it, or ripping ea

You may have seen her on Lorraine, on a billboard somewhere in the UK, or modelling Pineapple Dance Studios clothing for Next – Leanne Pero is making conversations about cancer more inclusive day-by-day. A cancer survivor, body positivity advocate and founder of Black Women Rising (BWR), a support project for people of colour with breast cancer, Leanne was just 30-years-old when she was diagnosed with the disease herself.

Before her cancer was detected, Leanne’s concerns about a growing lump un

Pour out the Poitín at The Sun Tavern

Eccentric cocktail bars in London are in abundance. Among the mania of this bustling city, every venue needs a USP that draws in locals and tourists alike.

The Sun Tavern in Bethnal Green certainly hits that remit. In fact, the bar is so unique that I struggled to think of a sentence to describe it. So, let’s go with: a sophisticated dive bar with speakeasy inspired cocktails and a large helping of Irish culture.

Got your imagination running wild yet?

“Most of the men making these claims have never watched women’s sport in their entire lives” – PRUDE speaks to transgender rugby player Sophia Cathcart

Discourse surrounding transgender people in sport is not a new topic of conversation. But the problem with these debates is that the majority aren’t coming from fellow athletes, but outside observers. Thankfully, it seems sports governing bodies for higher education are trying to give all students a fair opportunity to compete. They’re doing this by ensuring that alongside scientific guidelines for participation, their transgender policies mention commitments to equal opportunity and ensured saf
